Hi

I have imported a .psd image of a black and white logo that I scanned in to Photoshop.

It is just type in a font that I don't have so I want to convert it to a .ai file in a large size and then reduce it to keep the edges as clean as possible.

The problem is that I can't find the Trace Tool?
When I look in help it tells me how to trace the image but not where to access that tool to start with.

I've looked through all the menus and I just don't see it.

What format should I use when I save the file in Photoshop?

Mike

No longer a tool. Menu item only. With object selected: Object > Live Trace.

Hi

Thanks for the information.

I thought that the Live Trace menu appeared at the top of the window but I did find it where you suggested.

I was sure I had looked there and the only thing active were the options.

...it does appear in the top bar, as a button, but you do need to select an image on the art board first to see it...

>>> "I was sure I had looked there and the only thing active were the options." <<<

...as mentioned, you will only see the options active in that menu, unless you select an image on the art board...
