Where is the Shadow Copy?

Our server reports that it had a successful shadow copy of the data 8am, 9am, 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm last Friday. Previous versions only show 8, 9, 10 and 11. Where are the shadow copies for Friday afternoon?

Is there a way to view them on the server in question, since I can't see them on the clients? The event viewer doesn't show any VSS errors, and the server reports successful copies. So, where are they??

Regards,
LJG

obviously it's a service [services.msc]
try cmd
vssadmin list shadows

Fixed it.

The service was running fine. Not sure WHY this occurred although everything points to some possible corruption in the VSS database, so I'll be purging that soon enough.

I selected some of the older shadow copies and deleted them - after the server settled back down a little, voila - the items from Friday started to show up.

This has happened to us before but we've always just shrugged and let it go. I didn't see anything indicating we were out of space on the destination drive for the shadows ...

Most research I've done on this is now pointing to corruption, and I may have gotten lucky in deleting some old copies that had issues, but overall I think a purge will clear up some of this mess.

Thanks ...
