I set up lpt2 as 'RAW' queue and now due to a printer malfunction need to delete the data sent to the queue. I cannot find it.

win98 client sending to red hat 7.2 linux box

The data is on the Linux box and no longer resides on the win98 client.

When I turn the printer on it begins printing. Must delete the data somehow.

thanks for your consideration. One Code to rule them all, One code to bind them.

Depends on where you specified the spool directory to be in the config file.

could be in /var/spool/lpd

Try lpq or lpstat.

It was in /var/spool/lpd under the printer folder

I guessed which files to delete though. Do not know the extension or name of spooled print jobs.

lpq and lpstat held no info at all.

Thanks for your help. I'm now free of the spooled data.)
