Hi All,

I've heard that you can create an application that can be distributed to users who do not have access using the "package and deploy wizzard".

Does anyone know where it the option is, and any tips on using it for the first time ?

Many thanks

Simon

to my knoldge it is part of Access Developer Eddition... if you don't have that, then you can't do what you are tring... i just got the program the other day, and havn't gotten to play with it at all... contact me in a month (hopefully i'll have time to play around with that option) and i'll let you know what i think...

Thanks,

Yup I've got the developper edition, but I'm going to need it for a client a little before a month. So many thanks Junior, but if anyone else has experience of it, I'd still be grateful for any advice.

well, here's a thought, since you do have the software, i believe it's not an option within access itself, it's a seperate icon on the start menu.. start>programs>office developer i think... hope this helps.

i will start playing with the software next week, to my knoldge it's very strait forward... just make sure to have a local machene that doesn't have office loaded to test it on... Junior1544@yahoo.com

The Package and Deployment Wizard is in the Add-Ins menu in the VB window in Access 2002. If you want to distribute the application to users without MS Access you need to tick the "Include MS Access Runtime Files" option as you step through the Wizard.
