Hi dear All,
We need to change some announcement's fragments for Definity Audix4 system with "us-eng" announcement set. In documents(Def. Audix Sys. Admin. 585-300-507) i have only one short example with first messages "Welcome to Audix" (f287) , and to first digits subscriber dial after login to his mailbox "When finished recording, press #..." (f499). Nobody can't give me more information what other fragment ID is what message plays. May be anybody knows the Internet resourse for this information or can send me some text table for this.
THANKS for any words

Go to the Avaya web site ( and check out manuals 585-305-532 and 585-305-533. These manuals are OLD (92 and 93) but I think for the main announcements that they still are valid. I used to work in the group at Bell Labs that handled the recordings and I don't think they would have changed the main fragment structures. The manuals are for the Definity AUDIX but the announcements were the same on the Intuity up through release 2 of Intuity. The new features have phrase fragment numbers that will not be reflected in the above mentioned documents.
Now I haven't worked in that group since 95 and they could have re-numbered the fragments and re-recorded the us-english since then so the above mentioned manuals may not be accurate. They stopped publishing those manuals because they desided that they did not want to help customers re-record fragments any more. If you attempt re-recording fragments be sure you can recover and you test. Some fragments are used in multiple announcements so be careful.

Tahk you Leo,
But i can not find any useful info in Now we specialy need to find out fragment "To record messages press 1. To get messages, press 2. To administer personal greetings press 3." - this is no f23 fragment as discribed in example of Sys. Descr.
And more we need fragment ID for phrase " ...to delete press * D, to skip press the # key..."
Does anybody know the numbers of correct fragment ID for us-eng R5.0-2 announcement set, especialy for these phrases?
Thank you.

The doc you need is 585-313-807. I tried to see if I could get it off the avaya site but had some connection troubles, if you can't get it let me know and I'll e-mail the info. I would just send it but there are quite a number of different fragments associated with the "press 1, press 2" prompts depending on what path a user takes to get there and I think it will behoove you to see the actual documentation before proceeding. Again, if you can't get the doc off the website or have any questions let me know.

Thank you, Maxg
But my Audix4 is not Intuity , i have just TN568 (2-slots circuit pack). I think the book recomended by you is not sutable. If you have the fragments ID for us-eng R5.0-2 , please, send it me as much as you can. If you send me only fragment ID for incoming subscriber menu "to record messages, press 1. To get messages press 2.." and fragment ID for phrase " ...to delete press * D, to skip press the # key...", i will investigate correct position of fragments you send by the "method of scientific try":).

Thanks to Everybody.

The reason I suggested the doc is that the fragments you listed match the fragments contained in it, I was using the same "scientific" method you're looking for. I don't see the "to delete" fragment listed but I'll keep looking. As for the other, the one you hit first should be f775, but you also should look at f186 which seems to be for first time callers logging into the mailbox and f990, f992, f1006, f996 & f2041 which are accessed by pressing *4 and listening to the options for the activity menu. The doc I'm pulling this from is 12 years old I would think they left the fragment structure alone.

Thank you, Maxg.
I will "try" on administrative announc all of you suggested.
I will inform you about the results.
Have a nice day.

Hi,
f775 - is in the target ("to record messages- press 1, to get...").
Thank you very much, Maxg.
I reentered the f186, but did not find where it must appear, may be i realy should make a new subcriber to first logon, but it is not need me as much as f775.
No i only need the fragment with "..to delete press *D...", if you find it, please, give me the ID.
And may be you will so kind and write here or send me the text descriptions of ".... f186 which seems to be for first time callers logging into the mailbox and f990, f992, f1006, f996 & f2041 ....", and any other wich you have got - thanks.
Best regards,
Dmitri
