I have E2K. I just want to know what happen when someone send an email to an unknown user with @mydomain.com. Where does that email go to?

You can have the message delivered as an attachment to any account you specify using Exchange System Manager. A nondelivery report (NDR) message will be sent to the message sender.

If you want a "catch-all" mailbox that will get any mail that's misaddressed and not generate an NDR take a look at MailBasketMD ( It will redirect misaddressed mail to your domain to an alternate mailbox.

Good luck!

Look at the default smtp server properties in exchange system manager.
Under the messages tab you can enter an email address to receive copies of the ndr reports that go to the users.
