I downloaded a plug-in on a site thats an .ATN file. WHere do I load that in the photoshop? It's not under Filters.

Whats ATN>??

copynpaste,

.atn files are actions, on my windows system they are stored in "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop 7.0\Presets\Photoshop Actions" but this will vary depending on your system. Do a search on your hard drive for .atn files or from the menu on the actions pallet select "load actions", this will tell you where Photoshop is looking for the actions. Keep in mind that unlike plugins actions need to be loaded. You can load them from any location and this is what you will need to do in order to use the ones you downloaded.

ok....is it me or people don't want to do the search engines anymore? :) ha?

do a search for file named *.atn which will pooint to
either C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop 6.0\Presets\Photoshop Actions
or
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop 6.0\Required
depending where u installed the actions from this plugin....they might also be in the ".../Plugins/Plugin_Name/" folder

All the best

Hi,

.atn files are action files used for creating batch processes or for running commonly used effects/filters/commands etc.

If you have dl'ed an .atn file then you will want to put it in:

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop 7.0\Presets\Photoshop Actions or wherever you have photoshop installed.

Hope this helps!

I know that it goes in that folder. I just dont know where is it at in photoshop?

Hi,

Goto WINDOWS > ACTIONS and then at the top right of that palette there is a cirlce with a triangle in it. Click that button and goto LOAD ACTIONS, find you .atn file, and load it then it will show up in the pallete and then you can use it.

Hope this helps!

Hi,

Once you have loaded the action in, goto it, click on it, then at the bottom of the actions palette, click the play button and it will perform the steps automatically.

Hope this helps!
