In the UK we use A4 paper but whenever I set up a network printer I get Letter everywhere. Is this changeable in W2K and if so where. This stopping me using con2prt from the ZAK kit.
I believe that you set this in your printer driver.
I do not know what printer you are using but here are the steps to setting the paper type for an HP LaserJet printer, perhaps this will lead you in the right direction:
Click Start|Settings|Printers
Right-click on your printer drivers' icon
click 'Properties'
click the 'Advanced' tab
click 'Printer Defaults'
click the 'Paper' tab
you should see an option here for setting your paper type.
Yes, that is where I go to set the size once I have installed the printer. My problem is that I shouldn't have to do that if con2prt from ZAK is to work. I was wondering if there are different versions of W2K for different countries. I read on another forum about a guy in France who had the opposite problem, he wanted Letter and was getting A4. Unfortunately there was no reply. Bye to way it makes no difference what the shared printer is set to.
