I'm working on my CCNA and have a few pieces of equipment. I'd like to get the latest IOS for them if possable. Does anyone know where I can get the latest IOS for a:

2501 router
2505 router
2524 router and a 2916 switch

Any help would be greatly appreciated for a newbie.

And for all the router virgins out there like myself, I came across a great book that hand holds and spoon feeds you usage information.

Go look at "Cisco TCP/IP Routing Professional Reference" Third edition by Chris Lewis. This book is saving my life.

Thanks...................Jim

Just a suggestion but the Cisco site would be a good place to start I would think.

I tried the Cisco technical support download site and can log-in with Guest Access. But apparently to download the IOS' requires a higher level of access.

So.........I was hoping that maybe someone knew of another URL that would get me to the same place, the OS's.

I believe that SmartNet maintenance is needed to download any IOS versions, according to the feature set of the contract.

FYI all 2500 series routers use the same IOS
