where can i get com/dcom program?

hi,
i am very new to this com/dcom thing. so, sorry to ask a very simple question but i need to know where can i get com/dcom program? is it come along with microsoft visual basics 6.0 software or it is another stand alone software?

COM/DCOM is not software. They are set of rules which allows different components in one or many machines to communicate with each other. Visual Basic is a tool used to develop such COM Components.

COM is an object model, and can be written in many programming languages, C++, java, VB, VBscript, javascript etc.
