Couldn't find any books on Informatica's powermart/powercenter, any suggestions ?

Ravi,

Why should Informatica manuals be the only source for information? These manuals will not give you real world solutions to practical issues, there are manuals in the first place. Coreintegration provides forums, white papers and such and a selection of highly qualified experts !!!!
