Hi,
How can I cleanly shut down my computer when XP does not see the mouse?![[sad] [sad] [sad]](/data/assets/smilies/sad.gif)
I'm using a KVM switch, and have discovered that if I inadvertently take a quick peek at another system while XP Pro is beginning the boot process, it cannot thereafter see the mouse, however much in vain I plug and unplug the thing.
Without mouse support, the mouse pointer just sits there in the middle of the screen, useless.
If I CTRL-ALT-DELETE, I get a dialog box asking for a choice that can only be selected by a mouse I can't use.
How do I shut down the system cleanly when this happens?
