If you want to make a shortcut to windows explorer and when it opens, My Coputer to be selected and expanded you must:
1. Right-Click on the desktop choose new->shortcut;
2. In the target box enter: "EXPLORER.EXE /n,/e," without quotes. Make sure you write the both commas after "n," and after "e,", because if you not enter the comma after e the shortcut will expand C: drive;
3. Give a name to the shortcut;
4. Enjoy.

The easier way is to open Explorer, left-click on My Computer and hold left button down, drag it to the desktop and let go. If your Explorer Windows blocks the Desktop screen, just drag towards the Task Bar and the desktop will open up for you to drop the shortcut.

You can instantly create shortcuts for any Explorer object on the Desktop or elsewhere this way.

Exactly I wanted to find a way to make a shortcut to open win exp just like the one from the windows key+E combination. And it was very hard to find this way, because I couldn't find a workaround for this and nowhere is explained what is the purpose of these commas especialy after the last command(changing everything).

Hi bcastner,
Using your method the windows explorer which is opened is with a single field. My point was to open windows explorer with a folders tree view on the left side and the subfolders from the selected folder on the left pane to be shown on the right side, My computer selected and expanded (like it is from the combination winkey+E).
