When typing and I space, it highlights the undo on doc. window? Help!

When I type within a text box and I try to space, the undo button at the bottom of the document window lights up and starts undoing previous things. What is going on. It sometimes will even pop up the undo menu at the bottom to show me the undo's that I can make. I have tried reinstalling and this doesn't seem to take care of the problem. I have also looked through the quark preferences without any luck. At this point it will not allow me to space and continue to type!

Please help!!!!

Are you using any 3rd party XTension for Quark? Also, wot is the version of Quark & wot is the OS?

OS is Mac OS X 10.2.8
Quark 6
No 3rd party extensions...clean install of software and started having problem from beginning.

Not exactly sure what you are referring to. Maybe a scrn shot would help clarify the situation?

In order to solve your problem i would advice u to go to system preferences >>keyboard >> full keyboard access tab >> click on list and text boxes instead of any control . i hope this will solve ur problem

I have the same problem (PLUS OTHERS) with typing! At times I'll be going along and all is just fine, and other times all of a sudden I have to space TWICE to get one space, and also, RETURN twice to get a return! Then it'll go back to typing fine.

I thought it was the keyboard and tried another one, but it wasn't that. Then I, too, noticed that the undo key at the bottom of the screen lit up, etc.

I found NO WAY to get rid of these areas at the bottom of the screen, no preference, etc., no way to turn it off or otherwise, or anything pertaining to this "new" feature in any help menu or pdf files.

I have a feeling that this may be related to Quark 6 and PANTHER. I can't remember it doing this at all with JAGUAR.

I have yet to find a way to stop this from happening, either. If I have to do a lot of type input, I'll have to go back to System 9 and quark 5.

If anyone else has had this problem and KNOWS HOW TO FIX IT, please let me know, too!
