When message comes through hit F3 and CAE locks up

When useing CA Express sometimes it will lockup when a message flashes on screen for example like mail. Then I have to exit all and restart the emulator again. This is happening on other systems as well. Im thinking it mite have something to do with the tcp/ip. Any help out there?

You're talking about using the emulation, right?

I'm going to ask the silly question first. Do you have the latest service pack installed? Especially if you're running Windows 2000, it should help.

The second thing to check is that you can get good connectivity. Try doing a TRACERT or PATHPING to your AS/400 and see what your results are. If it times out or something then yes, your problem is TCP/IP connectivity.

Yes, to the emulator. Yes, I do have the latest pack on also. I will try the F12 key. Thanks alot appreciate the help I'll post results crosses fingers. Oh I am runing win 2000 but it also happens on win 98 too.

My other question I forgot to ask was what version of Client Access are you running and what version OS/400?

If you are running a V4R4 CA Express and a V5RxMx OS then that could be the issue right there.

Im running V5 R1 M0 with the latest service pack on it.
AS/400 is on the latest ver also.
