I clear history to get rid of all url addresses, but some
web addresses still manage to stay on no matter how many
times I clear history.

Do you mean they stay when you type them it automatically pops up again? If that is the case it is in cashe memory. You can clear that by right clicking Taskbar (gray window bar) select properties and there should be a StartMenu Tab. Select that tab and click the Clear button. Then your history cashe will be totally cleared out in Internet Explorer. -Brad

I did that and it still didn't work. when I clear history
I go to tools then internet options then clear history.
I also went to start then settings then task bar and start menu then to start menu programs then documents menu and clear.

When I clear the history all the web addresses disapear except the samme three. Its like they some how saved them on my computer and I can't get rid of them. Please help.

If the cached addresses are still listed in the Address box in Internet Explorer, use the following steps:
Quit Internet Explorer.

Delete all of the values except for the (Default) value from the following registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs
NOTE : Values in this registry key are listed as Url1, Url2, Url3, and so on. If you delete only some values and the remaining values are not in consecutive numerical order, only some of the remaining entries are listed in the Address box. To prevent this behavior from occurring, rename the remaining values so that they are in consecutive numerical order.

i have this problem too. What i do is:

Delete cookies
Delete temp internet files
Delete history
Clear recent documents

That seems enough to me. But somehow always shows up. I can't seem to remove it from my system. Not that i don't want it on my system, but it just bugs me i can't get it off. Wouter

Go here:

and download Spider v1.16. It`s freeware and does its job brilliantly. It will find and remove (on request) all history, cookies, temporary internet files, etc.
