When booting a Windows ME Gateway pc 2

Things look normal until the pc screen turns black and has entrys from the autoexec, etc. At the top of that screen is the statement: "Starting Windows Millenium Emergency Boot..."

What is that telling me?

The pc goes on to boot completely with no problems, and works OK.

Why is it telling me that?
