How many ginormous lingweenies do we have here? Confuzzled? Well just chillax and click here.

Two strings walk into a bar. The first string says to the bartender: 'Bartender, I'll have a beer. u.5n$x5t?*&4ru!2[sACC~ErJ'. The second string says: 'Pardon my friend, he isn't NULL terminated'.

This was also done in the mid-eighties by comedian Rich Hall, who called the words "Sniglets". Here's a list of some made up by him and others:

I used to rock and roll every night and party every day. Then it was every other day. Now I'm lucky if I can find 30 minutes a week in which to get funky. - Homer Simpson

jebenson,

I couldn't seem to read any of them, the picture at the top left of that page kept breaking my concentration. <g>

My mother's family has an odd word for your private parts-she calls it your "howdydoo". I'm not sure I want to shake hands with anyone in her family.

Read what? I've been setting my background.

oh, by the way, razzlefrizzaratz. It's what you say when you want to say something a whole lot worse but can't. Think I got it from an old cartoon years ago.

What do you think of "orgastrasmic?"

An adjective for food that REALLY GOOD!

razzlefrizzaratz" sounds like a quote from Muttley of "Catch the Pigeon", "Wacky Races" & "Dastardly & Muttley"

Surely the master of words not in the dictionary was Lewis Carrol. Nobody with any literacy can fail to understand Jaberwocky but many of the words were invented. For those not aquainted (you ought to be!)
`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

"Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!"

He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought --
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.

And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!

One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.

"And, has thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'
He chortled in his joy.

`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
My favourite phrase isvorpal blade.

Columb Healy

Many people don't realize that, at the time he wrote that, "chortle" was not a word. "Galumph" wasn't either, but I'm not sure how common that one is even now. I'm not sure about "burbled" either.

(I loved this poem so much I've had it memorized since 6th or 7th grade.)

Tracy Dryden

Meddle not in the affairs of dragons,
For you are crunchy, and good with mustard. [dragon]

Sassified

The state of being sassy, and satisfied at the same time.
Most appropriate to say when you're feeling exceptionally groovy.

[afro2]

A hippie male to his ultra-feminist mate post-relations:
"NOW are you sassified?"

I always thought that "blivet" was something my father made up, but apparently it's more well known than that:
My Def: ten pounds of excrement in a five-pound bag.

Columb,
I'm embarassed to admit I've not been exposed to Lewis Carrol - wish I had, though! That was great.

Has anyone else noticed a strange similarity to another TT member in Lewis Carrol's writings?

correctamundo (meaning really correct, I know its a bit like "more different") is a word I've heard used more and more, might be just an Irish thing ;-)

Anybody who is into Monty Python should have a copy in the collection, even though the boys only did a cameo. Well worth it.

I don't know if the it was around before, but in the 1970's correctamundo became popular as one of the Fonz's catchphrases on "Happy Days".
