What's NTVDM.EXE and WOW 2

NTVDM is the Windows NT Virtual DOS Machine
WOW is Windows on Windows environment
Both are used for compatibility purposes when running 8-bit and 16-bit applications on Windows NT/2000 (dont' know about XP, but should be the same).
