I'm trying to determine what's included in a system state backup for Windows NT 4.0 Server. I had a look at the System Admin Guide frorm Veritas but their specifications are pretty vague for NT. (Lot's on WIN2K and XP. )
What part of the registry is backed up and does it contain a copy of DNS, DHCP and other services. Does anybody have any ideas..? I’m using DataCenter 4.5 (MP3) on a 2K server.
Cheers..!

NT4 does not have a system state. The system state is for W2K only. In NT as long as you are backing up the config directory you are getting your registry info.

Thanks for that..!
I assume the "config" directory is %systemroot%\system32\config, right?
Cheers
