Does /usr/bin/ksh exist (ls /usr/bin/ksh)? Is there another ksh (in /usr/sbin?). Does your $PATH include /usr/bin (echo $PATH). So many questions, so little info. Give us some more to go on, please!

Looks like there is a problem with the environment settings - profile,etc.

Check also the security issues .
Do "df" to check that there is no full systems FS.

Long live king Moshiach !

This may seem elementary, but does /usr/bin/ksh exist? I guess Ken already asked that, but I'll ask again.

Just for fun, type:
PATH=/usr/bin:/etc:/usr/sbin:/usr/ucb:/root/bin:/usr/bin/X11:/sbin:/usr/local/bin
export PATH

Then try your ls command.

If this works for you, create a profile in your home directory

vi ~/.profile

and add those lines to it. This will keep your PATH variable working for your next login.

thanks guys got it.
