Hi thanks for looking at my post.

I am helping a neighbor add a phone system to his home. First he wanted cordless but I showed him wired systems and thats the dirrection hes heading in now. He would like these features. 3 line capable-- He wants to be able to block other users to use one of the lines. So some extensions can not be able to dial out on or awnser, or monitor a line. He wants caller ID. And no less than 8 and no more than 15 stations. He would like to be able to used standard phones and system phones. He also would like night service so when he presses the night button phones will not ring in any except the master br. I have NEVER done work on a panasonic system so any and all recomendations would be greatly appreciated. What would also be great is I want to wire the rooms to a patch panel so I want to be able to plug a cable directly into a plug on the system. -- But thats not really that important......

Thanks so much

Jake

the new KX TA 824 panasonic looks real nice and has built in voicemail and a GUI FOR programing!!

i have found some cheap DBS systems.. What about these are they good and what does it take to program them? Thanks Jake

not much but they are first generation with no caller id

The DBS is fully capable of caller id, you will need the caller id add on boards for your CO cards. A DBS 824 might work very well for this application.
