Hey all, hopefully a very simple question here:

We're planning a project to move over to a new call center solution, and part of the discovery is to see how our inbound calls are routing from the telco. Now Avaya is absolutely not in my wheelhouse so i'm having some difficulty in finding out how to see what trunk group an inbound call is coming in on. Has anyone had to do this in the past that knows where I can find this information? Digging through Avaya documentation has turned up as a bust.

Inbound?

I would start on hte outside (with your phone provider) and ask them "Where does this DID Terminate?" You should be able to then find that physical circuit, then trace it back to a physical board in your PBX. Then you can do a "list tra tac XXXX" with that trunk (TAC comes from list trunks) and watch the call come in.

You can also just call the number, trace it, and see the call come in. You can also get an active call up and do a "stat stat XXXX" to that phone, and see the physical ports the call has traversed through.

You can also just trust your programming in CM and see if the circuit ID shows up in comments fields somewhere in the switch, but no guarantees.

Yes inbound indeed, I'll be sure to perform the list trace against the tac first. Didn't even notice that command. Thanks!
