Hi, Maybe this is a stupid question to somebody, just I do not know which way will be the easiest and most economic way. I just bought a digital camcorder (Mini DV) that comes with a 4 pin DV (IEEE 13 94)port. In the manual, it says I "can transfer recording to a computer equipped with a DV (IEEE 1394) terminal or IEEE 1394 capture board (optional software required)". My computer is Pentium III running Win 2000, (relatively old), it has only USB port now but not equipped with firewire port or IEEE1394. What will be the easiest and economic way to let me trasfer the tape recording from my camcorder to my PC? Thank you for all advice!

you are going to have to buy a firewire card.
