What steps should I follow when publishing or re-publishing reports ?

What would 'seasoned' administrators recommend when it comes to publishing or re-publishing reports to Crystal Enterprise? always run through Crystal reports first? always verify the database? publish right to CE and then more checking if there are problems later?

Can be tricky. Most time publishing should be fine, but there are times when you may need to run the report in the designer on the server itself just to make sure there is a connection to the source.(Verify Database etc.)

I have seen cases where the report thinks the datasource has changed simply because the report is on a new machine. Even though the DSN is the same name. If this is not fixed in the designer, the print engine will likely fail out.

Once reports are published, you can use CR to log in to CE and open, then modify the report and simply click 'save' or save as...saves republishing
