What should my Paging File Size be?

here are my stats:
windows xp home
bios: award modular bios v6.0
processor: amd athlon xp 2100+, MMX, 3DNow, ~1.7Ghz
memory: 512 MB RAM


Awhile ago someone told me to use a custom size of
initial size (mb): 766
and
maximum size (mb): 766

im just wondering if that is appropriate for my computer stats?

That custom page file size probably won't hurt anything, but with 512MB of ram, I don't see why you would need to change it from the default Windows-Managed page file size.

Is there anything else about your ocnfiguration that would require a specific page file size?

Well the reason I changed it to that was because someone told me to -- I was having problems running Asherons Call 2 -- and my video card is a Nvidia Geforce 4 Ti4200. Changing the paging file I was hoping the game would perform better....

It sounds like the suggestion in that forum to put more RAM in your box might be the best solution.
