What reference do I check to use Left and Right string functions

What reference do I need to check to use the left and right string functions.

I get

Compile Error:
Can't find project or library.

for now.

I'm using Access 2000.

Good Afternoon pdbowling!

I checked the Left$ method in the object browser of the VBE and found the Library to be VBA, or the Visual Basic Applications library.
