What program uses the file extension *.nbf

a quick q.

a couple of weeks i used some sort of cd burning? backup ? restore? software on a friend's Pc.

for the life of me i can't remember the name of the program.

It apparently uses the extension ".nbf".
Ie these are the files on the backup CD.

tia for any help.

I'm googling but i haven't found any obvious answers.

Later on i found out a mention in google
...BUT...
try a seach 'what program uses *.nbf file extension'.
I couldn't remember if it was a backup program or a
cd burning program - nero etc.

Noreen ( the friend) 's problem was that she couldn't get into her computer ( for a couple of weeks ). No internet,
email, etc.
It had XpHome and only an OEM operating system CD.

Eventually i got it to boot from my XpPro CD.
Used her backup program ( she assured me she had the original CDs). I made backups of a few important doc files & her digital photos.

I tried restoring from the oem cd
but still kept getting a reboot cycle.

[ I should've taken her system home & could've got a more
detailed response with exact error messages ] but i ran out of time.
So I installed XpPro - i think i had to wipe the partition?
She got access to email, internet.

but now the photos & docs

Now i'll have to go back there [ half hour away] & try to
find backup now install CD etc.

Noreen came over yesterday (sunday).
i was able to d/l a trial version of 'backup now' &
eventually got to restore 3 of three CDs i created
AND showed her how to do the restore process.

She emailed later that her restore had worked.
It feels like about a ton of egg has been lifted from
my face ( phew).
