When users are prompted to enter their voicemail password, they hit the buttons, but the call control server doesn't seem to recognize that any input was given.

I would like to packet sniff the traffic if possible.

What port does DTMF use?

Is there any other good way to test whether or not the call control server is able to receive the RTP traffic?

e2tshow is the best.

Go to the serial console of the controller, or telnet in and enter the command. It will show you the current rtp streams in and out of the controller.

I have had this before with other types of call senario's. In the end we pinned it down to the fact that the E2T card handles DTMF etc duing a call and the far end didn't have a route through the firewall tot he E2T only to the RTC. Do you have an expanded MXe or an old style controller with a seperate E2T address?

Reboot the system.

There might be a glitch and the reboot can fix this issue.
