I'm having some problems running a couple of programs on an NT box and I just need to check something.

If you have .OCX, .DLL files etc. in the APPDir and you have different versions in the WinSys Dir, which are used? I'm hoping the answer is those in the AppDir but am not absolutely sure.

Can anyone give me a definitive answer?

Thanks in advance

Your program should run which ever version of the files is registered on the machine. To do this you can use RegSvr32 from a command prompt.

Hope this helps

Hmmm, Already loaded presents a thought...

If loading is necessary, search begins in Startup Directory, also called current directory. This may not be the applications directory but usually is.

I'm pulling at an old memory here so you may want a second opinion.
