Excuse the question, but....
i am a novice programmer and want to develop a program to interface with my modem. Does anyone have a suggestion on what languge would be best to use and where to but it????

Thanks

This question probably shouldn't be posted in the Access VBA section, since well.. VBA means - Visual Basic for Applications.

Start in the C, C++, VB, or Fortran forums.

From what little I remember of hardware - I think your answer is dependant on your operating system.

If you're using Windows, and you have all the right drivers for your Modem, and it runs fine with your OS, I would say start with C or VB or Visual C++

But then - I haven't done anything with hardware monitoring since college.

Good Luck.

Just because you have an answer - doesn't mean it's the best answer.

Oh Thanks,

I didn't even know those forums existed.
