I see in a previous thread: The following Analog test procedure. I have a set enabled for a maintenance set. I try a couple of different DN's but don't seem to find the PTRS DN. What is the PTRS DN? Where Do I find or provision a PTRS?

LD 36

CALL l s c u This command sets up a monitor link (call) between the
system and the test center on the trunk specified.
The system prompts "DN?" for the directory number.
When the PTRS directory number is entered, the system
calls up that number automatically. When the call is
answered, a pure tone indicates the validity of the link.
This sequence can take up to 14 seconds on a trunk
without answer supervision. The END command
disconnects the call.
The CALL l s c u command is not allowed when the
diagnostic program is being run from a maintenance
telephone. During the CALL command, On-Hook and
Off-Hook signals from the maintenance telephone may
initiate BUG105.
When the monitor is enabled, a failed trunk is displayed as
BUSY. The enable/disable command does not enable or
disable the failed trunk unit (it stays in the BUSY state).

Thanks, in advance,

Opie

LD 36 CALL command is used for testing analog trunks from a remote terminal. Is that what you are trying to do?
I don't know what PTRS stands for but it just means any phone number. Like the number on your desk at a remote location or your cell.

LD 36
.call
DN? - enter your phone number (or PTRS if you like) and the CS1000 will call you

Once the link is established you can continue to test and make calls from other analog trunks with:
.trk lll s cc uu - the trunk you want to test

Only works with analog trunks.

I have 8 COT trunks in my CS1000 (opt 81) I am trying to test each co trunk to verify that each CO trunk is working. I have done this with DID trunks over PRI but not CO trunks. Is this the same procedure?

StanleySteamer,

I did a call trace in LD 80 and tried my Trunk access code for these trunks with the following result.
TRK151 32 0 15 6

TRK151 48 0 15 4

TRK151 48 0 15 3

TRK151 48 0 15 5

TRK151 48 0 15 2

TRK151 48 0 15 1

TRK151 48 0 15 0

TRK151 48 0 15 6

All analog trunk members failed. My call never connected. I am now going to tone out these trunks and see if they are still connected.

PTRS is just the phone #, Providers of Telecom-Related Services (PTRS)
