What is word icon.exe?

I found this program loading in msconfig on a 98 box and I'm curious what it is? I have searched google and it shows up on some driver sites etc.. but I still don't know what it is. I also found it on my 2000pro box. Hmmm?

And if you do know what it is why does it load with windows.

It's the icon for Microsoft Word.

do you know why its an .exe not an .ico? or why when I remove it from startup it reloads itself?

Sounds like your networked. If so, then your server is uploading your [roaming] profile to the system you are logging on from so that the software you use will be able to work properly.

If you are not networked, then I'm at a loss and you should keep surfing and post back any results you or carrr happen to get.

Yes were a network but we don't have roaming profiles set up. The only reason I'm so curious about this program is that the computer is suffering from serious performance issues! Also when I unchecked the entry in msconfig it recreated itself, much like msn instant messanger does. I check SARC.com with no luck. Still trying!
