What is this "????????????" that I see?

When I enter a figure greater than 999,999,999.99 in any of the forms (invoice, receipts, etc) I see the symbols "?????????????" also I get a message that says:

"The Total on this screen is too long to be stored"

I am frustrated as my figures are in billions!!!! and I use peachtree complete accounting 2000 and peachtree complete accounting v7. (same thing in both).

You are using peachtree and producing a billion dollar invoice? Or are you using some other currency? Software Sales, Training and Support for Macola, Crystal Reports and Goldmine

I use naira!! and ours is an oil servicing company. are there any suggestions.
