What is the short code to pick up someone elses extension 1

i have tried *71*N# and *71*XXX# this is what i think they should be but dont work, i have tried thee with both Extn and Member.

The default call pickup from an extension is *32*N# to answer a call ringing at extension N. Uses the CallPickExtn function.

*71*N# is defaulted to the DialPhysicalExtensionByID function on UK systems. That's used to make calls to a extension where you don't know what ext. number its logged in as.

Tanks for the replies i have tried *32*N# and ths doesnt work thats why i thought i would create a new one hence the 71. Although *30 DOES work. with the number of calls we get in i dont really want to use that. Is there anything i need to enable in the users to allow the *32 bit to work???

You can create Call Pick Up Groups for people that sit close together - then create a SC that targets just that group.

Create Grp 401 SalesPick
Add users in that department

Create SC *401
Number 401
Feature Call Pick Up Memembers

Or you can map a PICK button to the phone using "Call Pick up Members" with the group 401 in the telephone field.

I just did this for about 30 groups and it works fine.
