Just curious if anyone knows the ring voltage that comes out of the ACS system extension ports? I have tried a Wheelock Telbel 592 18-48V ringer bell and I have also tried a Wheelock Telbel 593 which is a 90v ringer bell. These bells have a RJ-11 port and operate on one pair and are line powered but I am not having any luck with getting them to ring correctly. The 592 (18-48v) rings constantly and the 593 (90v) barely rings. So I assume the ACS ring voltage is actually somewhere between 30-90v?

For best results I use a bell that gets power from 120VAC outlet and uses 90V ring as an activation voltage. I'm sure that Wheelock has such a model - just don't remember the part #.

why not put a meter on it and see ?

I suspect its in the 90volt range but the amparage is low . on the older partners we could get externall ringers to work fine .on the acs im noticing they have a "wimpy " ring which leads me to suspect amprage,

try the viking PA2A its a load ring/ page unit you have your choice of 3 or 4 ring styles the acs ring would be just triggering it so I suspect it would work fine.

IrishDeval did you ever get the wheelock bell to work on the partner system if so how did you do it

Hey Brian, I just went back to using the regular ringer bell that I normally use. The Wheelock UTA-1. I couldn't get the other bell to work correctly.
