pushing the limits does not hurt, it does help hide a problem.. i would ld 60 ssck 0, make sure your clocking from your pick.. best bet is to clock from your ld carrier, then locals as a back up.. ld carriers all clock from a master clock, so clocking from them makes sense.. local carriers clock off of ld carriers.. if your switch is in freerun or clocking via a tie then your going to get slips. if it's just one pri it could be the far end as well.. if it's a tie, the far end needs to either clock off of there ld or you.. when we tie switches together.. all remotes clock from a central pbx.. that pbx still clocks via ld,, all remote switches use there ld for a backup if they have one.. another thing to check, what clock card if active when your getting errors.. if it's always the same one, that can go bad.. but it almost never shows as just one ckt slipping..
one thing for sure, if left to it's natural course, they tend to get worse. ld 60 in drol zero's the lcnt at midn, pushing the thresholds just lets you ignore the problem.. i run an lcnt everyday, if i have one hit anywhere, i monitor that ckt looking for trouble.. i want to know if i have problems before someone knocks on the switchroom door
