Is there a command in ASA that can tell you what is the type of switch you are accessing?

I did a list config all this doesn't give me the switch type, thanks.

If you're looking for the software version, you can type 'newterm' at te command prompt.

If you're looking for the type of cabinets, you can do 'list cabinet' at the command prompt. On G3 systems you can type 'status system 1' at the command line. CMC=Prologix, ESCC or SCC=Stackable cabinets, & MCC=refridgerator-sized cabinet.

For newer S8xx0 servers, if you go in through the web interface and click on the Software Version link it will show you the server platform.
