Hi all,

I am bit confuse about this matter. we have two server one in US and one in UK. and here is the problem. both has same structure of Database and procedure, but now they want to transfer data back and forth mean they want to transfer uk data to us and us data to uk so we can have exact mirror image of database in us and uk so what would be the best way to do it.. Replication i could think but what will be the easier way..?

thanks

Hmmm, eaasier way...You should rather think in terms of what works better for you.

In my humble opinion replication is the way to go. Initially you would just duplicate the data from one DB to the other. Then you will set one of the two to be the publisher and the other one the subscriber. Configure your replication and schedule it the way it best suits your needs.

Hope that helps.

Were are also trying out that approach but it seems a DSL connection is not the proper medium for that. Were having replication timeout errors. Whats the minimum line connection type for replication to work. Is there a way to configure SQL 2000 to make it work on a DSL line?
