Dear All;
I'm looking to be qualified on installing and maintaining the Nortel option 11 c .
can anyone suggest a way for that?

Regards
Ala'a

Nortel systems are due to be faded out by Avaya... you would be better advised to train on the Avaya systems

you will not be able to get any training on an opt 11 c as they do not exist any more you will be able to get cs1000e training which is the newer version of the product

Go to Global Knowledge. You can still get the old Familiarization class, but it will be updated to CS1000E. You can also get Database Administration and Installation and Maintenance.

They do go further now as you can get CS1000E install and maint for technicians that goes into some real deep troubleshooting.

While the Nortel name is gone, they are not getting rid of the platform. They recently implemented PASS availability back to Succession 3.0 so Avaya has recognized the fact that this platform is here and not going anywhere.

Anyone that tells you otherwise is trying to sell shiny new boxes. If you wanted to get deeper, go to System/Session Manager training because this is where both platforms are headed, regardless of starting platform.

SIP SIP SIP SIP...that's the endzone. Once the system is there you can go to walmart and get a sip phone and put it on the desk (in theory of course).

So go to Global Knowledge and see what classes you can attend. They do virtual classes now too, and go to and take the free online courses to get familiarized with SIP and Session and System Managers. Real basic stuff, but if you aren't that familiar it will help.

Global knowledge is not really affiliated with Avaya like they were with Nortel, but the classes are still there.

Many Thanks All
appriciated you help.
but if I trained on CS1000E it can help me to do maintenance and administration for the option 11c.

in other word is the programiing concept for the CS1000E is the same for the option11

Regards
Ala'a

If you use the Overlays (LD) etc, then the prompts will be the same or slightly different depending upon the software release.

All the best

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

for base programming (phones/trunks/acd groups [basic acd]) the programming has not changed much over the different Releases. There have been some added options, but the programming is the same from Pre succession to Rls 7.5.

IP brings in some new programming needs, but you will learn those as you go. Option11C is kind of the base, then you would need some add-ons with larger systems (61C/81C) adn even more moving to CS1000E systems.

Hope you get what you need. Its changing fast.
