It's on the tip of my tongue, but the word eludes me. Can anyone please tell me what the software is called that provides those random letters/numbers to verify human form input on a website? (like at a paypal or godaddy whois lookup)

Secondly, anyone know of a good open-source version that is quick and easy to implement?
