I get this error message when I try to get e*Gate to let go off the older versions of ETDs and replace them with newer ones.

Most of the times it happens in the "Collaboration Mapping" tab of the "COllaboration Rules Properties" box.

Does anybody have an idea of what it means, and how to avoid that but still get e*Gate to accept the "Collaboration Mapping" settings you have specified?

Thanks.

Sometimes eGate gets it's knickers in a twist (or someone else has updated that area).
I usually just use View-> Refresh from the Enterprise Manager menu and re-try.
If this fails then you may need to export your registry and re-import.
Alternatively delete that collab rule (leave script) and re-do.

Export and re-import of your schema is a solution which I would not like to try ...

Try theses solutions before you do an export.import

1. Try to flush the registry cache ... see stcregutil for help.

2. Re-start the registry host deamon
