I just moved to the Sticks(No high speed) bu tfinding ppl in the town that are willing to pay to split a T. what the teleco said they just drop the line and they are done... In my thinking i figure that i can pic up a cisco 1601 w/wic pass the External IP to a WAP run a high gain ANT. Omni Directional and then have the PPL that wish to split the T get a high gain ANT. Directional w/WAP to connect. I know with this thinking i probably need help in deciding what to do... But if all is well so far how am i going to limit the bandwidth used by individuals? Any help would be much apperciated

I would get at least a 2600 then you could do policing in the router..

1600's don't have the horsepower..

Ok is there any problem with my plan to provide the Wireless, off the T or everything sounds good other than switching to a 2600?
