I'm looking to make my Succession and Symposium talk to an remote Option 11. What are the basic requirements for this to happen?

MCDN and PTP TIE.

Meridian Customer Define Network and Point to Point TIE.

The basics: Both PBX must be capable of both of the above. The Symposium will not be able to acquire or do any skill base routing to the remote 11. You can route calls to the remote 11 using ROUTE CALL out of the SCCS over CDP or UDP

I thought that Symposium was the ACD and would use Succession to send calls out.

Any literature on configuring MCDN? Thank you.

Symposium is the brains that performs skill-based routing, basic ACD is provided by the PBX. U can ask Symposium to route a call out of the PBX via scripting, etc. it would take a while for me to explain the whole thing, but they work together. basically, calls come to the PBX first, then Symposium takes over the call once the call hits a CDN.

if u want to send calls from one PBX to another (succession to Option 11), you should add a tie line between the two to save on costs and provide 4-digit dialing between both sites.

MCDN can be found on the NTP's..........good luck

is the remote option 11 where your agents are?

It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.

There are where the Symposium is located, the Opt. 11 is currently set up as a lab and will be upgraded also to a Succession 1000 + CCM 6.0
