Hi beksalur,

Unfortunately if you're looking for a Glance functional equivalent from IBM that ships with AIX, it doesn't exist. topas is the closest equivalent that's included with the O.S.

However, there are several Vendor and 3rd-party products that you may use to obtain at greater number of the Glance/GlancePlus features:

1) The AIX Performance Toolbox from IBM that provides similar functionality to HP's PerfView. There is a server and client component, depending on what you are trying to do with the product.

2) I have heard rumours (although I haven't taken the time to confirm it) that HP sells a version of Glance for use on AIX. Don't quote me on this.

3) Freeware, er - DonationWare - kinda. Mesa Consulting in the Netherlands ( offers Monitor 2.1.9 as a downloadable binary for 4.3.3: You must install the patch for AIX 5 available here:
Hope this helps!
