I have 2 IPOs, one has all zeros in the busy tone detection settings, and one has other entries, 45, 65, etc.

What exactly does this setting do, and does it matter that I have two systems with such differing values?

Thank You.

Where are your systems located? I suspect this setting is tied to the locale.

PS If it is working don't sweat it... :)

Busy Tone Detection: Default = System
Allows configuration of the IP Office's busy tone detection settings. The busy tone detection options (frequency mode and width) are defined by the system locale. They should not be adjusted unless advised by the Avaya Technical Support.

I believe it is for use with lines that do not supply a Busy msg back to the system.

Both of my systems are located in the Albany, NY area.

I assume the busy tone detection is working OK, so I won't worry about it.
