I am new to this group but knowledgable with Partner ACS and Panasonic's KXT, KXTD, & KXTA. I am considering selling the Vodavi line since I see the pricing is competitive in the small-med range market. Would ya'll mind chimimg in on the feature differences, pluses and minuses?

vodavi products are good. But a few things to be aware.
Their documentation is horrible. While the STS is a cute little system and very inexpensive, the manuals are brutal.

And their tech support is a little shaky. But if you know the ins and outs you can figure things out by yourself.

Personally, the NEC/NITSUKO product line is a lot more reliable.

Panasonic is OK, but try calling tech support and you get put on hold forever. But we all have different preferences for phone systems. Always have a couple of lines to represent as one customer may line a phoneline and the next may not...

You might want to look into the Comdial product line. They offer the DX80 and DSU II as their small to medium business system. They are very reliable system and tech support is great when you need them. The DX-80 is one of Vodavi STS's major competitors. I'm a Comdial dealer and I've won many contracts against Vodovi.

Some of the key selling points of the Panasonic system, (KXTD) are:
Every port is eith analog or digital
Easy to set up ringing assignments and direct co-to-ext paths (Call line 1 rings either a call group or ext XXX)
Easy delay ringing setup (great for voice-mails!)
Remote programming
New Phones look great!
The TVS vmails are easy to setup Tress (custom menus) and even easier to initialize, with a "quick setup".
Windows or DOS programming tools.
And all the typical bells and whistles in all the systems.
But the main concern is can the Vodavi use any older phone on the new STS? The KXT- D,A, or TDA all are backward compatible with older phones to make upgrades easy to sell.

Welcome to the wide world of telephone systems......

So many too choose from.....

Play around with a few of them....buy a couple different systems....

I always pickup a KSU and a couple phones of any new system and play around in-house....

ALSO...like I mentioned...TECH SUPPORT and the MANUALS are the most important....

Thanx for the advise! If I hadn't already done that with the KXTadtda,PArtner, Legend, Magix, Comdial, and oh-ya, all the proprietary and 3rd party voice-mails, I might take you up on that suggestion.
