What is a wildcard replica?

Hi.

I have this in the log file and I do not understand what it means. Can anyone help?

Hello,

I think that means there was no Admin4.nsf when the server booted and it couldn't contact the Hub server. If this is a single server (no hub-spoke), I would down the server, rename admin4.nsf to admin4.old, and run Domino. This should create another, check the error.

If this is a hub/spoke, I would pull a replica over to your server from the Hub. Hope this helps.

This is an application server. Is it that application server does not need admin4.nsf?

Hello,

All Domino servers need the correct Admin4.nsf, unless the Domino server is not part of an existing Domino Domain. When you configured the server, did you create a Stand Alone box? If so, then this error might be OK. Have you looked on the Lotus site? I would hate to mislead you. I can research this as well if you want, just let me know.

Hi John.

This application server is connected to the domino domain. Our side do not have the full rights to the server.Things like changes to the server doc will have to ask the domain admin to do so. I am not too sure what is stand alone box. I assume that means not connected to a domain?
What is the purpose of admin4.nsf?
