What is a RUNDILL error?

We can try but we'll need a little more information..
When is the RunDLL error occurring (on startup, during a specific operation, or ?)?
What is the actual error message?
Are there any clues in the event log??

Sorry, yes it happens when the pc starts up.

it say's,

Error loading C:\windows\btvain.dill

I can find no information on a btvain.dll online, which suggests that you may have a virus / spyware issue (unless you have an application on this machine that is no longer functioning and reports a similar message).

Can you download HijackThis from the direct download link at this site: [URL unfurl="true"]http://www.hijackthis.de/en[/url] and cut and paste the scan results into a post here please.

Oops - forgive the double post. I'd forgotten we're in the Windows 2000 forum here.

Please download HijackThis etc as above, but I'd suggest that you post the scan results in a new thread on the Virus / Spyware discussion forum (forum760) with a request for help. I've been out of the malware hunting game for a while but many very capable TekTippers hang out in that forum..
