I tried looking up on Seagate's site for information and answers to my question, but I think I would have better luck finding a needle in a lava pit.

Anyway, I am wanting to to know what is a good temp and range for sata hard drives? I am running 4 Seagate sata hard drives. I have a temperature program constantly monitoring them. My temps are 32, 29, 33, and 27. 34 is the highest the temp ever gets, and 25 is the lowest.

Just did some Google searching, but still would like some other professional opinions/facts on here.

Thanks

Those are plenty cool.

I don't know of a typical temperature as it will vary with case airflow, hdd location, and ambient temperature. Drives closest to the air inlet will be coolest and usually the top most drives will be warmest.

eFreak - if those temps are either Kelvin or Fahrenheit, then you must be running those in an arctic environment, but if those temps are Celsius, then you have nothing to worry about as long as the temp does not go over 50 degree C (323.15 K)...

I found that that is where some drives begin to behave erratically, and above 60 degree C, software may behave strangely...

It's not something that I get particularly hung up about, general rule: keep them low in the case, tidy wiring, with a space between each drive if possible and preferably mounted in good air flow.
I would also concur that your temperatures are very good. Anything under 40C is fine with even higher temps being acceptable but not ideal.(my opinion)

anything below 38c is ok but they should run in the 20's if they have there own coolers
